Audi R8 Starts From Front Row at Mid-Ohio

Dindo Capello (Italy) and Allan McNish (Scotland) will start the third round of the American Le Mans Series at Mid-Ohio (US state of Ohio) from the front row of the grid with their near five-year old Audi R8 (built in 2002). In Saturday’s Qualifying, Allan McNish was second fastest overall and quickest in the LM P1 cars. The Audi “factory” driver missed pole position by just 0.160 seconds.

Audi R8 Makes Winning Comeback in USA

Dindo Capello (Italy) and Allan McNish (Scotland) extended their American Le Mans Series lead when they steered their “factory” Audi R8 home to victory in the inaugural Grand Prix in Houston (US state of Texas) on Friday night. It was the 62nd victory for the most successful Le Mans prototype from 78 races.
