In racing history around the world since 1922, they decided to form a partnership with Prodrive to compete in international sports car racing again in 2005. The Aston Martin DB9 made its debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring and stunned the world by upsetting the Corvette Racing Team. These two rivals met only 4 times in 2005 and will be going head to head against each other 11 times in 2006. This will make for an exciting GT1 battle in the American Le Mans Series. The two-car team will be piloted by Tomas Enge, Pedro Lamy, Stephane Sarrazin, and Darren Turner.
Aston Martin Racing finished first and fourth at the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca on Saturday 21 October. Pedro Lamy and Stephane Sarrazin taking the final victory of the 2006 American Le Mans Series in their Aston Martin DBR9, the team’s fifth win this year.
Aston Martin Racing came first and second at the 1,000-mile Petit Le Mans on Saturday 30 September. Tomas Enge and Darren Turner taking the top GT1 honours in their 007 Aston Martin DBR9.

The Aston Martin Racing team has today begun preparations for round seven of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) at Road America. A favourite with drivers, the 4.048-mile, 14-turn road course near Elkhart Lake was the longest road racing circuit in North America prior to the opening of the Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake earlier this year.
