The front of the grid at the 24 Hours of Le Mans will have a strong American Le Mans Series flavor. A pair of diesel-powered Audi R10 TDIs took the top two spots in qualifying for the historic French endurance classic.
Italian BMS Scuderia Italia has completed the official qualifying sessions at the 24 Hours of Le Mans achieving a formidable 3:53.611 lap time and will start, on Saturday, from the 24th position, 4th in GT category, just behind of the Official Aston Martin and the Corvette n.64.
The dominance of American Le Mans Series teams in the GT classes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is continuing. Aston Martin Racing is on the provisional pole in GT1 as is Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing in GT2 after a wet first day of qualifying Wednesday.
